Over 40 years ago I made a career decision to work in what was then the emerging field of Satellite Communications. I wanted to contribute to bringing people together around the world and connect the unconnected. I have been richly rewarded over these decades to work with many true giants and pioneers in this field and have seen SATCOM become a ubiquitous and critical part of people’s lives worldwide. I have been fortunate to contribute to technology development, new system design and architecture, and better ways to operate satellite systems. I am particularly proud and passionate to work for those serving us as First Responders or the Military for whom SATCOM is a lifeline in harsh or challenging environments. While the field has matured, we are experiencing a renaissance in the industry, and I am sure the best is yet to come!
