David Muntean Jr., P.E., is employed by Halff Associates, Inc. and has more than 37 years of transportation engineering, planning, and project management experience with particular emphasis on traffic operations analyses, safety improvements, bridge research & project development, project management, corridor studies, DRI/traffic impact studies and review, transportation concurrency, origin-destination studies, ITS Project Management, and numerous data collection studies. Dave is registered as a professional engineer in the states of Florida, Georgia and Alabama.Dave served on the District 10-Florida Section ITE Board for 16 years, concluding with his 10 years of service as ITE District 10's District Administrator in 2012, and continues to serve actively as a mentor/volunteer to the Board. Over the last 36 years, Dave has served on local, statewide and national ITE committees, highlighted by serving on ITE's Trip Generation Steering and Advisory Committee for the 6th, 7th, 8th & 9th Editions. Dave has received awards on various levels throughout his career, including the International ITE Past President's Award, Florida's Transportation Engineer of the Year and the Sherwood I. “Woody” Hiller Distinguished Service Award (the organization's highest honor), as well as other national, state and local awards.Dave enjoys the camaraderie with his peers, volunteering for several organizations, and values the time spent sharing knowledge and stories while supporting the career growth of our younger professionals as they continue to build upon their own experiences.
