As Head of Cloud Engineering, I have the honour and privilege to work with an amazing group of people as we build a robust, distributed, and resilient cloud platform. Through developer enablement, mentoring, and easy-to-leverage self-serve solutions, we help foster a culture of high performance engineering and ownership where teams can build, run, and ultimately own all aspects of their product portfolio.

After an exciting time working with all the great folks at Kinaxis, and with another (hopefully final) switch to Virtual Learning for both of my elementary age kids following Christmas, I decided it was time to take a brief career break to focus on Family for a while.This was an amazing experience, one that brought with it several valuable insights. Life is short, so don't sweat the small stuff. Kids need parents to be part of their lives, to help them grow and flourish. And remember to laugh often and keep active - you'll live longer and be happier! =)

DevOps.Build it.Run it.Own it. DevOps is a behaviour, not a team. And Yes, I get the irony given my current position. Embedding DevOps behaviour within every development team will unlock, and unblock, your team in ways you may not have imagined. It will take much more than this block of text to explain the Why behind this, but after decades in tech it's the only logical way to scale DevOps within your company. Every other model just has far too many pitfalls. So the next challenge becomes: How. That's where the fun begins =)
