Responsible for equipment design and installation, and launch and operations support including technical support, plant safety, asset management, facilities management and Master Dot (launch readiness) for a greenfield automotive propulsion battery manufacturing facility. ➤ Served as manufacturing engineering and IT lead for the global launch process. Met 100% of launch deliverables.➤ Managed equipment design approvals for state of the art battery assembly equipment.➤ Participated in cross functional teams with product Engineering to assure design for manufacturing (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA) best practices were integrated in to the battery designs.➤ Provided oversight of PFEMA for process equipment and automation to assure on-time start up and maintainability of assembly equipment and processes.➤ Participated in plant TIP, layered audits, level 1- 5 BPD reviews, and problem solving to assist in meeting production goals.➤ Provided Lean Manufacturing training to production teams. 100% team members trained.

Extensive experience with the GM manufacturing controls engineering (CRW) group specializing in design and execution of manufacturing controls standards. ➤ Provided engineering services including design approvals for various types of manufacturing automation including value added assembly (VAA), robotic welding and sealing, metal forming, and tool and die fabrication. ➤ Managed productive customer / supplier relationships for automation design and delivery in domestic and international environments.➤ Developed and integrated hardware and software templates in to the first body shop implementation of the GM controls standards (GCCS, GCCH).➤ Led a cross-functional team as resident engineer at a GM metal assembly facility in the startup and acceleration of over 300 robots and automation, building automotive body components.➤ Led a team of controls engineers in the development and initial execution of standard PLC, HMI and hardware design templates for the global tandem press lines (GM standards, GCCS and GCCH). ➤ Managed the design, installation and startup of a complete AM2 transfer press upgrade including mechanical refurbishment and controls replacement.
