As third-generation and an award-winning entrepreneur, I have been fortunate to work in 13 countries with brands like Allergen, Caterpillar, Cemex, Tru-Green/Chem-Lawn, Nucor, Prada, Gucci, Starbucks, KFC and The Cheesecake Factory.After 25 years of leading my consulting and private equity firms, I have pivoted from working with SMBs to focus on helping the most underserved business sector in North America: Microbusinesses, particularly local merchants who have less than 20 employees.Recently, we launched a community outreach program, "Restaurants Rising," to help independent restaurants and the people they employ to rise above the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Our technology-assisted marketing & management consulting group, Socialincs, is supporting this public-private program. Back in 2010, my firm, Opis, facilitated the acclaimed program "Help 100 Businesses for 100 Days" in conjunction with (14) cities including Buena Park, Costa Mesa, Newport Beach, and Santa Ana, and San Bernardino, which attracted over 3,000 participants.I am a TIE SoCal Charter Member, former Chairman for TieCon, and current Chair for The Founder's Forum. I continue to serve on the Board of several organizations (for-profits and non-profits) that are aligned with my purpose of strengthening business growth in local communities and passion for elevating marginalized individuals. Fellow, Institute of Coaching, McLean Hospital, a Harvard Medical School Affiliate. The goal of the institute is to provide a solid scientific foundation of coaching based on good science, good research, and good practice. Whomever I have strived to be or achieved have been inspired by my children: Dianne and David.
