Having spent all of my professional career within catering, events and hospitality, and with the industry on its knees due to Covid-19, I launched Truffle & Thyme in November ‘20 in an effort to do ‘something’ whilst the world tried to figure itself out. Initially the business was based around the reasonably new catering concept of ‘grazing’, which arrived from New Zealand and Australia in around 2017/18. I began marketing and hand-delivering our grazing boxes and fine food hampers, both locally and across the country, in an effort to gain some traction for the brand, in the hope that down the line, post Covid, Truffle & Thyme would be able to offer catering services as well. One month after launching, and with many 'staying at home' (like we were told to by Boris!), it was a Christmas like no other and the public turned to online gifting. Truffle & Thyme was off and away!Winding things forward, Truffle & Thyme has moved along somewhat since its conception, and alongside the Gifting, we now offer a much wider catering offering, but still very much focused on using high quality, artisan produce. We have a very loyal corporate and private client list, and have catered for everything from weddings, garden parties and anniversaries, to corporate golf days, business brunches and lunches. Alongside these, we still hand-deliver all of our grazing boxes locally, and now ship our fine food hampers nationwide, all the while keeping the firm focus on both the quality of product and the service provided behind it.
