Dave Patty is the founder and president of Josiah Venture, a Christian non-profit organization focused on training next generation leaders throughout Eastern Europe. Dave has served with his family in the Czech Republic for the last 20 years, and is well known in the region for his practical Bible teaching. Although he grew up in Colorado, Dave was born in the Philippines and also lived ten years in Germany where he developed a network of innovative youth ministries on US military bases.Josiah Venture with began with just two couples in 1993 and has since has grown to an international team of almost 300 staff serving in 13 countries of Central and Eastern Europe.JV works with local churches to develop strong youth ministries that transform the lives of young people with the message of Jesus Christ. In a typical summer JV staff will lead over 100 camps with 5000 young people in attendance. Approximately 5400 young leaders go through some level of training with Josiah Venture in a typical year.In the Czech Republic Dave was the executive producer of a National TV program for young people called "Exit 316", which aired for 83 weeks and garnered over 8 million viewings.He has overseen the purchase and development of two conference centers with a total of 300 beds in the Czech Republic and Poland.Dave is also an ordained pastor in the Evangelical Free Church.Passionate about the potential of young people, Dave enjoys the privilege of serving them with such a gifted and committed team.
