Role PurposeWorking as part of a very small procurement team, this internally based role involves purchasing goods and services for Comms Express from principally the UK and Far East at the most competitive prices.Main Responsibilities and Tasks Responsible for UK purchasing of stock and sundry operational items (boxes, cleaning products etc.) Purchasing items from the Far East and Europe. Developing new products from the Far East and sourcing cheaper products… Show more Role PurposeWorking as part of a very small procurement team, this internally based role involves purchasing goods and services for Comms Express from principally the UK and Far East at the most competitive prices.Main Responsibilities and Tasks Responsible for UK purchasing of stock and sundry operational items (boxes, cleaning products etc.) Purchasing items from the Far East and Europe. Developing new products from the Far East and sourcing cheaper products elsewhere in the world. Liaison with circa 15-20 suppliers. Liaison with the Managing Director regarding the introduction of new products including researching, identifying and recommending products and liaison with the web team to launch said new products. Raising of Purchase Orders using the Sage system. Close liaison with Goods In Supervisor to maintain oversight of booking in of goods– weekly review undertaken of outstanding PO’s. Setting up and creating of Part codes for ad hoc purchases. Updating of sage for the introduction of new products for future orders. Helpdesk facility for printer issues (back up for PC issues.) Take and assess direct telephone supplier requirements and pass onto sales team to close. Liaison with accounts regarding overdue invoices. Supporting with the warehouse stock take. Project management of one designated customer. Working successfully with other departments where necessary including Accounts, Sales, Warehouse and Web teams.PLUS any other duties, which the Company may reasonably require.
