Distance Learning

As the coordinator of the Teacher Center, my duties include establishing and fulfilling the focus areas of an application filed with the State Education Department to secure grant funding for teachers in the ONC and DCMO BOCES regions. The funding is guided by the Policy Board that is a governing entity of the Teacher Center. The Policy Board representation is made up of over 51% teachers in the region, administrators, parent representative, instructional support directors from the BOCES served, and college professors in the region. Ultimately, it is the coordinator's responsibility to provide resources and professional development to teachers under the guidance of the goals or focus areas that the Policy Board has agreed to support. With the duties of providing resources and professional development, the coordinator must evaluate the programs using feedback from the teachers that utilize the services of the Teacher Center.

Evaluate and oversee staff and teachers. Manage student discipline.
