Site Safety ManagerKrupp Canada Jan 2013 - Jul 2015Thysessenkrupp (Prime Contractor) (Kearl Oil Sands Ore Processing Plant (Opp2)Responsible for supervision of 6 safety coordinators under Krupp employ as well as HSE teams of Subcontractors. Worked as part of the Management team to ensure safe work procedures and compliance to safety standards were adhered too. Resposible for incident reporting and investigations to understand what went wrong and implementation of corrective measures to improve safety performance and support our moto of "Nobody Gets Hurt". Resposible for auditing, monitoring, of safety performance. There was 900 workers on the site and many different trades which had to be integrated into work fronts and JSAs and FLHAs developed and audited to ensure safe work practises were being followed. We held site wide safety meetings at which I was resposible to speak to safety concerns, safety initiatives, and motivate workers to work safe. I worked with some great people from the client side (Exxonmobil, IOL) Krupp management side and the subcontractor side which made the project a success. Congradulations to everyone who made this project a success and in paticular to the skilled and cooperative workers who worked with me to make a safe work site. Thanks also goes out to the members of the JWHSC who acted very responsibly in their duties. Build a safety culture with onsite contractors which as a team I believe we accomplished.
