Transport Team Leader
CurrentAssisting in the day to day running of a fleet to deliver fresh food to stores. The fleet consists of up to fifty three 3.5 ton, six 7.2 or 7.5 ton and five Class 2 vehicles. Reporting to the Transport Manager and collaborating with our provider via daily Teams calls, to ensure all Chassis Services, PMIs, Tacho calibrations etc are kept up to date. I perform the weekly tread depth and visual checks on all tyres and do spot checks to make sure all vehicle checks are performed on a shift by shift basis. I produce weekly rotas for the 38 morning routes ensuring all drivers rest days and all routes are covered. I regularly take the time to do full assessments of the routes by completing them personally when there are changes made or new routes are taken. Working closely with planning to ensure the routes are both economical and viable.
