In 1984, I passed the examination given to attorneys admitted to practice before the United States Patent & Trademark Office and so I became a patent attorney. Like many patent attorneys in Toledo, Ohio, I had the opportunity to repreesent several clients in matters involving trademarks and service marks. Soon, I became a patent and trademark attorney. More recently, I have found that my trademark work load has outpaced my patent work load so it would appear that I may yet become a trademark and patent attorney. My immediate goal is to expand the trademark practice of Purdue Law Office by threefold within the next year. We do it all from trademark clearance work to trademark registration work to trademark enforcement (and defense) litigation in the federal courts of Ohio and Michigan.
