Plans, organizes, supervises, coordinates and controls the activities of facilities operations providing a safe, clean and comfortable environment for the twenty– four hour operation of the hospital. Directs the functions necessary in maintaining the physical structures, utilities, mechanical, grounds and cleanliness operations of all hospital properties. Maintains performance improvement activities. Ensures competency of all personnel. Prepares departmental budget. Maintains efficient and effective department operation while requiring compliance with all JCAHO, federal, state, and local regulatory laws, standards and protocols.
