Managing and nurturing donor-centric relations with existing major and planned gift donors, as well as identifying new gift prospects is my work cornerstone. Spearheaded development and fundraising efforts for programs providing food, clothing, and shelter on behalf of the poor, hungry, and marginalized across San Diego and Imperial Counties.Raised $700,000 in funds, stewarded annual giving, major gifts, planned giving and foundation donors, identified multiple new foundation sources, developed grant proposals, completed several hundred donor acknowledgement calls, and secured agency's inaugural GuideStar Silver Level.Established initial structure of development office, developed and implemented 6 fundraising strategies, documented standards for raising funds for annual, major, and planned gifts, online, and monthly giving, print and electronic direct mail, grant writing, special events, and determined short and long-term goals and objectives.Cultivated relationships and communications with community partners, researched grant opportunities and wrote proposals, and developed and maintained agency and staff communications across 7 departments.Led multiple improvements to development strategies, including agency website revisions for annual giving, major gifts, monthly giving, and planned giving, programs related to electronic and print direct mail appeals, planned giving, and inaugural Gift Acceptance Policy.
