The question is not so much how Dave sees Dave - which in summary (as asked here) is one who generally speaking maintains integrity in relationships i.e. business etc. using patience and clarity driven by my primary AIM toward impeccability. Rather, how do others see Dave. I would like to say I know. I would like to be confident that "others" have noted my AIM. I can only think of 2 customers/clients over 35 years plus of restoration and finish work I'm not friends with - in fact I'd be surprised if they have any. Both turned out to be schnooks. The remainder being friends - some of my absolute favorite people of all time. Looking out for another's best interest 1st pays the real dividends in this world. Historically and currently my "objective" overall is to continue to do what I do and do well and enjoy! Restoration work - historic primarily and that which is featured in the example photos provided. As far back as I can recall more times than not my clients know they want or need something fantastic accomplished in or on their home ~ as an example. Lets take the following example: a complete make-over of a bathroom. Plenty of times its seemed to them rather impossible or simply not doable especially without a sizable expenditure on design work. Then an expensive company to accomplish it. I do appreciate those who have the means to accomplish such and such in that method, and of course truly required in certain situations. Almost all of my work over the years hasn't required it. A portion of my design work merely takes place on a physical sketch pad but most of which was drawn in the minds-eye. A now great friend (for a short period a client) basically provided to me - his vacation home as a blank canvas. After gutting it and doing the necessary restorative work you can see in the photos an example of the "minds-eye" sketch pad. There was more influence by him than he knows to get to the finish product although nothing specific as far utilizing this material over something else was ever specified. Therefore I honor my once customer/client and now great friend by showcasing here what was done there.[PS. Contrary to the LinkedIn interface which required me to check off at least >one< "service" the "Interior Design" option was actually the only option I could check off as no other option LinkedIn offered was remotely close to what I do. Hence, the truth is I do design work. However, mainly on-the-fly or as mention above the occasional sketch pad - just to be clear.]
