As I watched my grandparents age quickly over recent years they began to struggle to move around their house. They hated the idea of having grab rails installed because of the stigma attached with the clinical, hospital looking rails. This is why I created Avail. It was the need to have my grandparents live well with dignity, independence, and most of all prevent injury. I’ve worked with occupational therapists and consulted with industry professionals and Swinburne University researchers to develop our products.Design has the unique ability to dignify, it can make people feel valued, respected, honoured, seen. Healthcare products should motivate not depress. Our customers love our products: “This is so clever & doesn't make you feel like you have a disability it fits into the room like it should be there”By providing attractive solutions our customers have become proactive to prevent injury rather than waiting until a fall occurs. I welcome referrals from architects, builders, occupational therapists and doctors who have clients looking for a more personalized, uplifting solution. We can quote for NDIS, MAC and for large projects.As Head Product Designer and CEO at Avail, I constantly look for new trends in the bathroom accessories market to ensure we are on trend. We have a range of AS1428.1 approved rails suitable for large aged care and hotel projects and provide design consulting internationally.
