I quickly got exposure to leadership as a maintenance team leader then production manager. I led the production team through a period of investment, where we added capacity, improved automation, introduced a product line requiring hygienic standards. We added additional shifts, and I hired and trained the technicians. I also acted as a technical liaison between US R&D and a key toller in the UK, who produced a key product line hot melt poly urethane.
