About Dave Simpson
Began working at age 15 in Juneau, Alaska. Stayed with my Grandmother Belle on Douglas Island, across the Gastineau channel from Juneau. Worked at the Baranof Hotel as a busboy the summer of 1971, front desk clerk the summer of 1972, bellman in 1973 and 1974, and Maintenance man at the Prospector Hotel the summer of 1975. Never quit working and worked the whole way through college (part-time). My two brothers died in a small plane crash in Juneau in 1975, I left Juneau for good then. So did grandma...All that work paid off, as I still hold several jobs, several titles and my previous employers always ask me to come back to work for them. I'm even asked to audit businesses for my previous employer because they said I was the best.. I can't argue with them, they would know.Loved music, played drums professionally for 20 years, mostly part time except for 1991. That year we played the Seattle Arena, Bumbershoot and opened for famous bands like Tower of Power. We almost made it, and that's how most of those stories end.
