The Legal & General IT development department was transferred to TCS and I continued to work as a Senior Business/Systems analyst on the L&G Account (see previous job details for L&G).

In July 2007 took a permanent position with L&G in the team that maintains and develops the mainframe quote engine for the Annuity, Pensions and Protection business (PADS). As the interface between IT and the business, responsible for the acceptance of business requirements, production of Project (cross team) estimates, Systems Requirement Specifications, Delivery Proposals, High-Level Designs, System Test and Systems Integration Test Plans, and also performing and signing off testing. Also deputise for team leader when required Challenged the business over inadequate requirements and helped facilitate meetings to identify clear requirements. On a recent Project challenged a single general requirement presented by the business and worked with them to come up with a meaningful and traceable set of requirements Facilitated workshops between IT and the business to ensure requirements understood across IT and work can be estimated for and carried out based upon a common understanding. Led cross team design walkthroughs with business to present the IT solution and obtain sign off for the solution from the business stakeholders.Ensured solutions are fit for purpose by carrying out systems and systems integration testing. Run knowledge transfer sessions with offshore testers to enable them to pick up this testing work and also sign-off their work.Produced project critical data migration specifications, low level design, implementation plan, and systems maintenance deliverables which were of such quality that the project was implemented with no major problems.
