Capella Tower, Minneapolis

Dave was responsible for the 24/7 security operation at the Capella Tower in downtown Minneapolis. Dave led a team of 25+ security professionals and shift supervisors in the 1.5 million sq. ft complex, housing fortune 500 tenants and over 4,000 employees. Additional responsibilities included managing the security budget, recruiting, hiring, and training.

In 2001, Dave answered the call of 9/11 by becoming a U.S. Federal Air Marshal (FAM). The FAM service was the 1st of its kind to train agents in counter terrorism tactics and behavior detection techniques in the aviation industry. Dave engaged in operations on-board U.S. Aircraft around the world, leading flight missions for nearly 5 years before promoting to lead instructor/trainer.In 2008, Dave was promoted to the position of Assistant Federal Security Director for Law Enforcement (AFSD-LE), responsible for commercial and general aviation airports in Minnesota where he managed the Behavior Detection Officer Program, Operations office, VIPR operations and worked directly with Local, State and Federal law enforcement agencies. Dave served as an executive member of the FBI Regional Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF), strategizing counter-terrorism measures within the region on behalf of the TSA and the Federal Air Marshal Service. In 2015 Dave retired from my law enforcement career and co-founded Applied Countermeasures Group (ACG) where he continues to follow his passion for serving and training others with proactive techniques and tactics that detect, deter and defend against criminal and terrorist activity.

As a criminal investigator for the State of Montana GIB, Dave conducted criminal and regulatory investigations throughout the State. Dave was instrumental in creating and managing working relationships with public and private sector entities to ensure that owners and operators of gaming and liquor establishments were in compliance with state laws and regulations.

Prizren, Kosovo

As an International Police Task Force Officer, I was assigned to serve the United Nations in Kosovo. With Administative powers granted by the UN, we operated as law enforcement officers with 18 other nations while safeguarding returning refugees as they re-settled. I held the positions of Patrol Commander for the City of Prizren and U.S. contingent representative in the southern region. I worked diligently to build and foster relationships with local communities, the military and NGO components.While supervising patrol operations, teams displayed outstanding professionalism while operating in very poor conditions. Although their was no guarantee for personal safety and being thousands of miles from our families, we worked with focus and determination to restore the country of Kosovo. It was an honor and my privilege to serve during this time of need.

As a patrol officer for the City of Great Falls, I took pride in my responsibility to serve and protect the community. Malmstrom Afb, Mt

I served as an enlisted soldier in the United States Air Force. As a Security Policeman, I was assigned to the 343rd MSS, serving on Mobile Fire Teams while safeguarding minuteman II nuclear weapons in transport and at launch facilities throughout Montana. In 1989 & 1990, I was selected to represent MAFB on the Olympic Arena (OA) Team. My duties included training year-round in tactical operations and firearms skills, then traveling to Vandenberg AFB California annually to compete in the Strategic Air Command (SAC) OA Competition. Our team took 2nd place in 1989 and 1st place in 1990. I was honored to have had the opportunity to serve my country.
