Dave learned these values while serving as a career firefighter for over 21 years. He has seen life at its very best and at its very worst. With over 20 years experience speaking before students and others in the US and Canada, Dave knows how to reach his audience, to touch them deeply and inspire them greatly. Life is better when you Live SHARP!Dave Small is a twenty-one year veteran of the Hobbs, NM Fire Department, retiring in 2004 as a Battalion Chief in operations. He has worked on numerous committees and boards within the department and the community. Dave was an instructor for the department in many different areas. In 1998 he was recognized with several state awards for innovation in EMS. Since his retirement he does extensive teaching/training of numerous courses & seminars on management, leadership, communications and safety through SHARP Communications and Consulting LLC, The RAD Group and GraphicSafety.
