About Dave Sperry

Challenging and equipping individuals and groups to become their best through creative and innovative methodologies. My most recent past consists of serving as director of college/university-based outdoor leadership programs with a focus on using outdoor pursuits and experiential education to teach leadership development. I have also worked as a full-time faculty member teaching leadership development, group dynamics, facilitation, and theories of outdoor education. I have been privileged to have opportunities to provide training and education to a wide variety of populations ranging from Fortune 500 companies to public school groups.I got my start in outdoor pursuits at Camp Berea in Bristol, NH. I formally combined my love of outdoor adventures with college student development by studying the impact of outdoor adventures within the college setting, particularly within the context of first-year student orientation. I have been heavily involved with the American Canoe Association, American Mountain Guides Association, Professional Climbing Instructors Association, Wilderness Education Association, and hold certifications with each organization.
