Responsibilities include management of storage-focused technologies both in our datacenter and as part of our cloud migration project. In this role, I have continued leveraging vendor relationships to delver tremendous support cost savings on physical hardware. I have also worked to develop relationships with our cloud vendor and have been working directly with development teams to help beta test and tune cutting-edge cloud-native technologies. Through my relationships at AWS, I've been a presenter at the Chicago Community Day event (2018) and the Chicago AWS Summit.

Responsible for all infrastructure storage platforms and related strategy. This includes a Brocade FC network, EMC VNX storage arrays, EMC Vplex, Isilon NAS, and Data Domain platforms. I'll also be working closely with other teams internal to Direct Supply to help build out a private-cloud solution and explore public cloud options for applications currently under development.

Implemented new Brocade Director and Edge SAN Switches without disruption to legacy storage infrastructure; Researched, architected, and implemented a multi-array EMC storage environment that included replication of all production data to D/R site; Implemented VPlex storage virtualization environment. Developed and implemented storage tiering strategy to improve data availability while reducing data storage costs by 70%. Implemented and expanded replicated Isilon NAS environment.

for day-to-day management, support, and engineering of HP storage environment. Troubleshot and developed work-around for array firmware issues that caused widespread instability. Negotiated purchase of two new storage arrays to more than double storage capacity. Executed project to bring all storage and data in line with vendor best practices. Implemented standards program to ensure ongoing stability and capacity management of the storage environment. Replaced tape library and data protection software including array-based tape encryption, enterprise class backup software, and platform-specific data protection capabilities. Presented the lessons learned and successes experienced in the backup environment overhaul project at Storage Network World in Orlando, FL. Received nomination for SNIA best practice award for sizing a data protection environment.

Responsible for the support and maintenance of enterprise IT resources including the following platforms: Server 2000, 2003, 2008, Exchange 5.5, 2000,2003, and 2007, Active Directory, Sharepoint, MS SQL Server, HP EVA Storage, Hitachi WMS storage, McData/Brocade storage switches, Backup Exec and CommVault Galaxy backup software, StorageTek and SpectraLogic tape libraries. Also responsible for off hours production support of all production systems and datacenter resources.

Responsible for the build, deployment, troubleshooting, support, and maintenance of end-user compute technology in a 300-500 partner organization. Responsible for daily maintenance and upkeep of conference room technology across campus. Primary resource on a project to upgrade all partner workstations to Windows 2000.

Responsible for overseeing customer service and technical support for 10,000 customers. Provided pre-sales consultation for website design services. Created and published self-support documentation for online support portal. Trained new support employees. Implemented customer retention strategies at a time when dial-up internet faced stiff competition from DSL and Cable internet services. Represented JVLNet through participation in local Chamber of Commerce events.
