Working onboard Altera Infrastructure’s Foinaven FPSO during the off-station project at the end of vessel field life. The project involves all aspects of disconnection from the risers and moorings and tow to shipyard. My role onboard is assisting to maintain a safe environment through site visit, auditing work sites, site inductions, reviewing / assisting with risk assessments for the various tasks. Prepare and deliver site safety meetings / coaching sessions. Project expected to finish early August 2022

Currently working for Prosafe onboard one of their Flotels. This has been going through a reactivation process after being in cold stack mode for a few years. The semi-submersible vessel has been going through class and flag 5 yearly survey with every tank space being entered for NDT inspections and recertification of all LSA equipment onboard.Acting as permit coordinator ensuring all PTW are in place and no conflicts are identified with the Numerous shipyard and vessel tasks that are being performed with a full new crew and many different service companies.

Setting up on my own I have been working on the following projectBeatrice Alpha platform – over seeing commissioning / decommissioning project of various different work scopes during the work to get the platform to an NNA ( ‘not normally attended’) statusThis included installation of a boat landing area for sea access via Wincat workboats / destruct of the drilling derrick / installation of solar and wind power generation.Various other work scopes on decommissioning equipment / Air gapping of production systems etc to make the installation safe to be left unattended

As Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Advisor, I oversee and provide engineering support to ensure Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) in industrial operations, conduct regular tours, area Inspections, permit audits and audit recommendations. I facilitate and direct HSE best practices to ensure continuous improvement and to instil a world-class culture including administration of the safety statistics databases and identify trends. I provide HSE focal point to site, project, and management including Kelvin Topset senior investigator for accident / incidents and near miss investigation and root cause analysis. Serving as the Radiation protection supervisor, I assist in the identification, analysis and development of controls to eliminate or minimise occupational hazards at project and service locations, use permit to work and train on the P2W system, educate and train all platform crew and vendors in the use of the system, and on environmental health and safety practices. I provide training oversight on Noise Focal point, Manual handling Assessor, AGT Level 1; COSHH assessor, OIM legislation, Working at height trained Level 2, 4, & 6; Donut descent device – train the trainer; NVQ 3 In Health and Safety; and ISO 9001 Lead Auditor. Notable achievements include:Strategically coordinating and overseeing Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) in industrial operations of the Sevan Hummingbird FPSO to ensure regulatory compliance and permit renewals.

In this role, I diagnosed, carried out service and maintenance of all firefighting appliances on board the Beatrice Field including fire extinguishers, fire hydrants, hose reels, foam inductors and foam trolleys, certified to service and maintain all the field B.A. sets, escape sets, air trolleys, trained wearer instructor, certified compressor user and trained staff to conduct air quality checks. I performed the roles of Authorised gas tester; Radiation Protection Supervisor; NEBOSH General Certificate, and conducted platform safety inductions, H2S awareness and Savox Escape set training and maintenance. I participated in identifying root causes of safety and health problems, investigated incidents and proposed appropriate action plans. I provided assistance and job trainings to team members with the ISSOW system; enhanced business efficiency through monitoring and controlling the successful completion internal audits in both the ISSOW system and platform area’s /worksites. I performed emergency maintenance and duty scheduling to service 24/7 and covered regularly as the Health and Safety Advisor during holidays and in times of sickness. I also executed emergency response roles as Coxswain of the platform based rescue vessels (ERIC’S) and trained as Heli deck and fire team member.Notable achievements in this role included the following:Efficiently provided engineering support to Beatrice HSE Advisors, ensuring routine safety equipment maintenance, in a multi asset field comprising of 3 satellite platforms 2 offshore wind turbines and the main platform.

In this role, I worked for various companies including North Star Shipping, Tidewater Marine, Remoey Shipping and Havila Supply. Certified to A.B level, performed fast rescue craft coxswain, and Daughter craft coxswain, Watch keeper, General deck operative, and other duties. I provided advanced medical first aider assistance on various health and safety issues
