Closed over $6.5 billion in mortgages through December 2022. Responsible for procuring, underwriting, and negotiating mortgage investments in Texas and Arizona for various clients (General Account, 3rd party clients and CMBS). Extensive experience in all major property types. Responsible for overseeing and directing actions on existing loan portfolio. Duties include marketing of loan programs, evaluating loan opportunities (including valuation and pricing), presenting transactions to committee, negotiating deal points and loan documents, monitoring problem loans, preparing CMBS securitization packages, evaluating assets for CMBS buy-side, and training/oversight of staff.

Underwrote commercial real estate acquisitions of all major property types, prepared bids, negotiated purchase and sale contracts, managed due diligence, and prepared committee materials. Maintained and fostered relationships with sales brokers and clients. Closed $250 million in acquisitions and annually bid on approximately $500 million of real estate. From 1/2000 – 5/2000, participated in cross training program with the Portfolio Strategist for Principal Office Investors. Markets covered – Texas, Florida, Georgia, Northeast and Mid-Atlantic.

Managed a diverse commercial real estate equity and debt portfolio of all major property types. The equity portfolio consisted of over 10 million square feet and had a market value in excess of $500 million. The debt portfolio exceeded $280 million. Hired brokers and property managers and directed their activities. Negotiated leases and prepared property business plans, forecasts, appraisals, and budgets. Analyzed potential acquisitions, developments, and sales. Sold $5 million of property and placed over $75 million in debt. Markets covered – Southern California and Phoenix.

Supervised, coordinated, and performed the accounting, budgeting, forecasting and reporting for a commercial real estate portfolio of all major property types with a market value in excess of $850 million and with over 18 million square feet.
