I will be consulting for PAC on new analyser designs a couple of days a week starting in mid-April.Update December 2023 - I will be leaving icon scientific at the end of March 2024 but will be available for consultancy work through my new company - details to follow.Update 2023 - I have now completed design and certification of the Cold Filter Plugging Point (CFPP) analyser. Results are excellent during testing - the analyser will allow refiners to optimise dosing of flow improver additive in diesel blending.Updare 2023 - I completed the design of the ethanol blender which accurately doses gasoline with a fixed volume of ethanol for feeding to on-line analysers, RON & MON comparators, distillation, vapour pressure etc. This allows gasoline blend optimisers to blend to the final specifications. Bleners have been commissioned at various refineries in the USA and the customers report extremely positive results.Update November 2018 - I have now completed building and testing the first on-line Cetane Number analyser which is currently on Beta-test at a major oil Company. Results are looking very promising !!Also working on the following;New ethanol blender to deliver accurately ethanol dosed gasoline at low flow rates to gasoline blender analysers and RON & MON engines.Dual cell vapour pressure analyser (two measurement cells inside one enclosure) for another major oil Company for direct replacement of their existing installations worldwide.Update - distillation pour and viscosity analysers now released and ATEX IECEx certified US/CANADA certification in the next few weeks (Now complete)My role is;Analyser engine developmentSoftware design and specificationOff-line design using SolidworksCreation of all supporting documentation and manualsCertification of the analysers for use in hazardous ares worldwide.Testing of the analysers following productionProvide on-site and remote support, and classroom training for all of our customers & representativesEngineering support for sample system design
