Sr Principal Design Engineer

On Semiconductor

Santa Clara, Ca

Designed the NCT75, a 6th source of the industry standard i2c +/-1oC temperature sensor. A 2nd source is usually considered to be more challenging than a proprietary design, however, I was able to achieve a smaller die size than any of the competitor products whilst adding significant performance and manufacturability/yield/cost benefits for the NCT75

Jan 2008 - Oct 2012

Design Manager

Designed the ADT748x (ADI's first products which included Intel's SST 1-wire bidirectional interface), the ADT7490 (ADI's first product to include Intel's PECI host inteface) and the ADP3281.

2006 - Dec 2007

Desgn Manager

Design Manager for ADI's Digipot and Thermal Management Product Line.Led the definition, business justification and development efforts for ADT75/AD5100/custom and white/RGB LED driver products. These products generated a solid revenue foundation upon which a strong product roadmap was developed.

2004 - 2006 ~2 yrs

Senior Staff Design Engineer

Designed thermal and power management products: ADM102x, ADM103x, ADM1041 (AnalogZONE’s 2006 product of the year), ADT7470, ADT748x, ADT7490 and ADP3281. Supported digital power initiative and managed development resources for TSM/DCR Product Line. Led the definition and drove product roadmap and business justification for TMP05/06/ADT75 etc.

1997 - 2004 ~7 yrs

Design & Sr Design Engineer

Precision Monolithics Inc

Redesigned the industry standard OP27, resulting in 400% yield improvement of prime grade (>$20 ASP). Following PMI’s acquisition by ADI, this redesign out-performed ADI’s own version and this redesign continues to be ADI’s OP27. I also designed the SSM2163, a BiCMOS audio mixer, the DAC108, a high-speed video DAC (trench-isolation) and the TMP03/04 (industry’s first one-wire delta-sigma temp sensor). During this time I also was codesigner on the CST15 (automotive custom)

1992 - 1997 ~5 yrs

Product & Sr Product Engineer

Precision Monolithics Inc

Responsible for yield and manufacturability of bipolar and CMOS DACs and ADCs. Products included DAC01/08/10/86/88/312;ADC910/912 etc.

1986 - 1992 ~6 yrs

Product Engineer

Burr Brown

Responsible for manufacturability of 16bit DACs and ADCs; analog multipliers and fAmp bias-current amplifiers.
