These approaches included: patterning of oriented microtubules for molecular motor mass transport, antibody/protein patterning with a hydrogel microstamp, chemical lithography with immobilized enzymes, and a lateral force mode AFM immunosensor. Skill set includes: AFM, chemical surface modification using silane chemistry, x-ray diffraction, ellipsometry, titration calorimetry, electron microscopy, UV/VIS/fluorescence spectroscopy, optical microscopy, IR spectroscopy, x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, secondary ion mass-spectroscopy, photolithographic patterning, and protein/peptide purification methods.
