Directly responsible for a staff of 5 with the objective to obtain, maintain, and grow market share within the specialty metals division in Livonia. Additional responsibilities include managing office activities related to our corporate quality program, staff training, account management, CAD/blueprint advisor, and safety and houskeeping advisor.

Inside sales specialist for the promotion, sale, and distribution of various common steel products, specialty metals, and a diverse range of value added services. Duties included growing individual account sales and developing customer relationships.

Managed CAD/CNC programming operations at the Lansing plant while directing related activities in the plate burning area. While working to streamline functionality within the operation, I developed an Alro-based Cad training program and assumed the role of corporate CAD/CNC trainer and advisor to branches with similar capabilites. CAD software expertise inlcludes AutoCad, ShopCam, SigmaNest and TurboCad. I also maintained and troubleshooted various networking issues between CNC controllers and CAD based PC's, often traveling to branches to fix network issues related to CAT5 and fiber networks.

Performed various functions related to inventory control. Cycle counts, physicals, and research related to inventory discrepancies.

During this period I was involed in a variety of warehouse and office roles: Warehouse duties include: saw operator, shear operator, flame and plasma burning operations, sheet and bar pulling, crane and fork truck operations, and truck loading.Office duties: minor accounting functions and clerical. Also, during this time is when I received exposure to Cad programming, teaching myself the Cad softwares in use at the time and eventually gaining a position as a backup Cad programmer for several years.
