As a marketer I know a professional website is a powerful tool when starting, developing and growing a business and I'm excited to help make that happen. ** How I got into websitesAfter studying business-economics in Amsterdam, my girlfriend (now wife) and I moved to the UK to live and work there. After six wonderful years in England, we moved again, this time to the other side of Europe, to start an eco-tourism business. It was then that I developed my first professional website - for ourselves - and found out that I enjoyed web design a lot. So I started making websites for other people too. It wasn’t exactly planned; I just rolled into it because more and more people asked me to help them.Now I've worked on hundreds of websites for clients all around the world, primarily for small business owners.** How I can help you• Build a website from scratch for you• Improve an existing website you already have• Help you build your website yourself (I believe this is very empowering, see below …)For a long time now my tools of choice have been WordPress and Divi. I love WordPress for its open source approach and the massive community behind it. I used to develop my own WordPress themes, but at some point switched to Divi because of its drag-and-drop page-builder, which means less working in code and more focus on layout and design. I also really enjoy figuring out the best way of doing something and then explaining that to someone else. So when it comes to websites, I like to not only design and build them, but also teach how you can do this yourself. I believe that for a small-business owner this can be really empowering, because it allows you to take much more control of your own marketing.** A little bit about my life away from workI live in a small village surrounded by wild nature, with people that are passionate about helping to make the world a better place. We work on projects such as a community garden, clean-ups, and an annual music, food & craft festival. We all have our own homes and gardens but love getting together to work on exciting and fun projects.
