Developed and delivered successful legislative strategy and public policy for 27,000-member professional association. Designed and implemented federal appropriations initiative that resulted in over $14 million in earmarked appropriations to court reporter training programs throughout the United States. Created legislation that authorized $100 million in federal funds to recruit and train court reporters and closed captioners. Represent organization in communications and interactions between all branches of government, and specifically address court reporter issues before several federal agencies, including the Office of Management and Budget, Bureau of Labor Statistics and the United States Administrative Office of the Courts. Achieved positive results for the profession before these agencies that benefited the members.Efficiently managed relationships with 45 state-affiliated professional associations and provide legislative training, strategic and tactical political advice, and educational seminars. Responsible for directing and developing NCRA’s Government Relations Department and expanding NCRA-PAC’s influence. Developed three leadership seminars, including a fly-in legislative training session, which resulted in a 400% increase in attendance. These programs have trained thousands of grassroots advocates and have become signature events for the association.

Created and coordinated over 75 grassroots legislative campaigns. Programs were devised to pass or defeat legislation at the federal, state and local levels. Directed client services, implementation and strategic steering of program activations. Accountable for budget management, realtime adjustments, continuous custom client reporting and database manipulation. Recruited, supervised and motivated up to 40 political operatives, at any given time, to ensure project success.
