I’ve been in the IT industry since 1997 (~25 years), during that time I have been involved with extraordinary projects, developed exciting innovations and had the opportunity to work with very skilled professionals. I’m driven by delivering positive change to systems whilst connecting with customers to ensure their needs are met.My roles with Cubic Transportation Systems (Australia) over the last 6 years has been involved with automated fare collection and real-time passenger information (RTPI) systems; including both computer aided dispatching (CAD/AVL) capabilities and the delivery of RTPI to riders.My last role, as product owner, I worked closely with engineering teams located in Austin (USA) and Hyderabad (India). My Jira authoring skills were refined by creating highly detailed stories (including pixel perfect wireframes) for the engineering teams. This ensured Product features were successful when released with limited rework.As global product manager, I conducted product presentations and customer workshops, preparation of product requirements documentation and prepared responses for various proposals. The last two major proposals resulted in the company being awarded contracts. Responsible for the Product vision and strategy, a few ideas of the time have since become realised either through feature delivery or stakeholder workshops.As the real time passenger information specialist, I worked directly with UX designers and software engineers to ensure our SaaS product had a quality design, satisfying the customer’s expectations and requirements.Throughout my career I have worked alongside various stakeholders from all levels of business. This includes senior executives, line managers, colleagues, both internal and external service providers and customers.
