Having obtained a HND in Civil Engineering in 1974 my work has varied from being a Site Engineer on Motorway Contracts , to a post in Design and Supervision with Kent County Council Highways , followed by 20 years' as Land Surveyor / Design Engineer / Technical Manager for a major housebuilder in the South East UK.I set up Development Engineering Solution Ltd in 2004 to provide a cost effective , down to earth Engineering Design and Management Service for developers of both Residential and Commercial projects.Specialties: Finding and designing solutions to difficult issues on development sites and producing careful cost effective designs for drainage , highways , layout proposals etc. Dealing with Regulating Authorities on a One to One basis , and having a good rapport and many contacts , with all sections of the Development Industry.I have now retired after 48 years of hard graft. Its time to do other things such as enjoying our wonderful garden and our own woods, having fun with our gorgeous daft Romanian rescued street dog Alana, getting down to working on our old Rover P4 classic car, and just chilling. Its been a good time, working with very many good and honest people, with many great memories, and some not quite so great.
