Co-managed a popular sporting goods establishment in Salt Lake City under the tutelage of well respected small business owner, Brett Bartlett.The internship provided a a dynamic learning environment with a wide array of responsibilities. A primary responsibility was to co-manage the retail side of the sporting goods company; selling, assisting customers, processing returns, producing new invoices, and inventory management. Another large part of the position was to assist the Team Sales department in prospecting for new business and making sales calls; we would reach out to area clubs, high schools, and colleges and universities to speak with their lacrosse coaches or athletic directors about placing team orders for lacrosse equipment and apparel. Finally, my third major role was event management; organizing and managing the setup and execution of sales events and a lacrosse camp. The premier sales event yielded 130% of our $10,000 sales goal, and the camp produced a 15% increase in attendees from the prior year.
