I love ideas, but not the idea of talking about me (more magic … less magician), so here’s a few quick things about me … in and out , nobody gets hurt ! ➡️ Better to be honest rather than impressive The education section is empty because I don’t have anything to put ! I didn’t attend school until I was 10, and was unable to read or write until I was 11 . This had a profound effect on me.➡️ I’m a chronic philomath , reading and research is my obsession I have an unquenchable curiosity and a deep need to understand how things work, especially if they don’t work very well.➡️ Innovation is my North Star I’m extremely interested in simplifying very complex problems across heterogeneous fields, predominantly science, technology, engineering and mathematics.➡️ Instinct and common senseI started my first enterprise in 1991, a transport business specialising in the delivery of antiques. This was born out of the only two skills I had at that time … I could drive and I’m meticulously careful.➡️ Caring is a competitive advantage The transport endeavour grew into providing services for multiple enterprise level companies, these services include white glove on the ground support for customer service call centres across the uk.I achieved this by explaining and instilling the extremely important need for an empathetic view across all areas of the workplace.➡️ The need to diversify I took a step back from the transport frontline in 2007 to concentrate on combining my passion for learning and my entrepreneurial spirit and began my odyssey into STEM ➡️ We are all a little afraid LinkedIn was a scary place for a long time, I assumed it was for very academic people, and without doubt, the best and brightest are all present, but you have to believe in yourself and your personal equity and perspective.It’s completely unique to you and of immense value.➡️ Work hard, rest hard, partner with people that positively challenge you and more than anything else, make awesome stuff.
