U.S. Embassy Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

• Developed strong relationships with Malaysian ministries, central bank, local banks, and state-owned oil company, leading to increased cooperation with U.S. non-proliferation objectives. • Monitored Malaysian economic reform efforts, providing detailed analysis to Washington policymakers in support of Trans Pacific Partnership free trade negotiations.

• Negotiated detailed policy initiatives for financing nuclear and renewable power plant exports, using expertise to push for more flexible financing terms in OECD multi-lateral export credit negotiations. • Uncovered and analyzed new sources of reporting data on foreign trade finance to Iran, providing senior policy-makers important new information on trade flows to Iran and UNSCR compliance.

U.S. Consulate General Surabaya, Indonesia

• Analyzed all facets of the economy and politics of Eastern Indonesia including finance, business climate, economic development needs, corruption, human rights conditions, terrorist threats, and political Islam, generating personal expertise and detailed reporting for the U.S. government. • Rebuilt Consulate’s economic contact base through personal meetings and public speaking appearances, increasing the Consulate’s visibility and improving access to key economic figures.

U.S. Embassy Colombo, Sri Lanka

• Adjudicated over 10,000 non-immigrant visas, 2,000 immigrant visas and assisted hundreds of Americans with matters ranging from routine to imminently life threatening after the 2004 tsunami.• Designed and implemented a new visa anti-fraud program, dramatically reducing fraud ring activity.

• Originated over $200 million of new residential development and construction loans, creating the bank’s most profitable loan portfolio, and led the bank’s regional affordable housing lending efforts, which generated over 1,500 new affordable homes, all while maintaining excellent credit quality.
