Conducted a full range of testing and analysis of the compatibility of new and old components, configurations, functionality ensuring full support for new system. Instituted a City Wide help desk ticket system to reduce phone calls to the help desk, and to be able to reassure the end-users a quick, efficient and quality support, and efficiently treating each and every incoming request as a unique traceable ticket . Set up and maintaining multiple test environment to cover various deployment scenarios to provide complete testing of new releases. Managed a $20,000 project with a software vendor for the install of Cabinet NG that was instituted in the City of Albany. Worked on a email migration from a pop server to Microsoft Office 365 converting all user mailbox, and maintaining a Microsoft Exchange Server. Worked on migrating the City’s network from physical environment to a virtual environment. Provided support for 18 remote city locations, from network connections, servers, client machines, routers, fiber connection, wireless access points. Planned and managed migration from Windows XP to Windows 7 with no loss of data or drop in productivity. Developed procedural documentation to streamline and optimized departmental workflow. Built and maintained workstations and laptops; replaced and upgraded peripherals and components.
