Developed hardware and software products in the emissions detection business to include product roadmaps, lifecycle management, technology design, and team leadership. I mentored the product line managers on cost and schedule controls, Agile project management tools, and oil and gas operations. I advised the research and development scientists on potential weaknesses of our systems, empowering them to challenge the status quo and develop innovative solutions.Initiated the complete redevelopment of our emissions dashboard improving the UI/UX to present the most important and actionable data up front allowing for quicker decision making. I hired new software product managers to accelerate product development, indoctrinated them with strategy, product and oilfield knowledge, and then entrusted them to own their product roadmaps and milestone delivery. The team averaged 20 features completed per month across web and mobile platforms. Designed new cloud-based services specifically designed to help users reconcile emission events with operations including integration with work order management and SCADA systems. These integrations allowed for instant delivery of emission event data to field technicians shortening the reaction time from hours to minutes.I maintained direct relationships with many customers and strive to understand their emerging needs, develop new solutions, and solicit immediate feedback. I spoke at product showcase events, board presentations and investor relation meetings.

Responsible for System Engineering and Integration of the HALO module of NASA's Gateway Lunar Space Station. Reviewed module and subsystem requirements, led the coordination efforts between government equipment providers and the module contractor, Northrop Grumman, and challenged both NASA and the contractor to work an Agile methodology to more rapidly iterate on design and documentation.

Founding member of the Low Carbon & Sustainability team supporting bp’s Net Zero ambition for Scope 1 and 2 emissions. I identified profitable and low cost decarbonization projects that reduced bpx’s greenhouse gas emissions. I developed a deep partnership with the Environmental Engineers to learn from their experiences and freely exchange data and ideas. I hosted collaborative idea generation forums, analyzed creative and innovative projects. I promoted quick wins that generated a 10% reduction in the first year and had the potential to reduce BPX’s total annual emissions 50% by 2025.Authored bpx’s strategy for measuring and reporting methane emissions for ~1000 onshore sites. I evaluated satellite instruments, aircraft-mounted sensors, payload-carrying drones and ground-based metal oxide and optical devices. I conducted trade studies to ensure the most effective and cost-efficient observation portfolio. Reorganized existing OOOOa and Subpart W data used for corporate category-specific reporting and created a site-specific emissions inventory to allow the team to evaluate geographic solutions like electrification for the first time. I led a team that proposed a phased plan to build micro-grids and electrify less-reliable gas-powered systems. The plan had net savings without the internal cost of carbon and moved Scope 1 emissions to Scope 2 allowing them to be offset with Renewable Energy Credits (RECs) and renewable generation projects.Worked diligently with internal and external stakeholders to stay aligned with the Oil and Gas Methane Partnership (OGMP 2.0) to plot a course for continuous measurement improvement to drive emissions reductions.

Planned and executed the 2019 Eagle Ford development plan, delivering over 170 wells. Created, maintained and optimized the development plan for bpx's Eagle Ford Business Unit. Coordinated well planning and AFEs, communicated changes across teams, and ensured smooth handover of wells from Development to Operations.

Senior Asset Engineer responsible for the lean and safe transition of shale assets from BHP to bp. The campaign includes the planning and delivery of 15 wellsites/45 wells in the Eagle Ford Shale, Texas targeting the Upper & Lower Eagle Ford and Austin Chalk formations. Acted as the central hub for all cross-functional planning and execution.Senior Asset Engineer responsible for restarting the company's greenfield activities in the Haynesville Shale, Louisiana. Introduced 4 new drilling rigs and planned 18 wellsites/40 wells with a gross spend of $400 million. Continuous Improvement Engineer shepherding over $100 million (annualized) process improvement ideas from midstream and upstream operators through engineering and financial oversight and into standard practice. Asset Closure Engineer developing closure plans, financial risk assessment and cost provisions for annual accounting and reporting.Well Delivery Engineer responsible for planning wells in the Eagle Ford Shale from initial concept to producing oil and gas. Focused on reducing well idle time during the drilling and completion process and maximizing subsurface value. Designed and executed a plan to ramp up from 5 to 9 frac crews to quickly reduce well inventory. Coordinated the planning of over 50 horizontal wells with the Land, Reservoir, Geology, Drilling, Completions and Production teams.Continuous Improvement Engineer focused on reducing drilling costs and cycle time. Initiated an effort to reduce rig move time which led to a 2-day sustained improvement allowing each drilling rig to deliver an extra well per year. Drilling & Completions Operations Engineer for the Fayetteville Shale and Haynesville Shale. Participated in drilling operations of unconventional wells in both plays. Also participated in hydraulic fracturing operations, coiled tubing operations for frac prep & frac plug drill out and tubing installation via rig-assisted snubbing unit.

Led the top rugby club in Houston which includes a women's team, two men's teams and ties to several high school, college and alumni programs (~100 members). The club is a membership-oriented non-profit focused on developing the sport of rugby in the community.Responsible for a $50,000 annual budget to provide member services and community development to include an excellent coaching staff, high-quality practice & game fields and coach & player development opportunities.Created the only successful U-20 program in Texas in 2016 providing opportunities to young players that didn't have access to a collegiate program.

Lead Integration Engineer selected to evaluate the design of 3 proposed Russian modules and determine the impact to overall Station performance. Assessed the effects on power consumption/generation, thermal radiation, attitude stability, shadowing of solar arrays, contamination of sensitive external surfaces and atmospheric drag.Managed the water, oxygen, nitrogen and back-up carbon dioxide absorption consumption on the ISS, developing models to predict resupply needs, determine the impacts of potential system failures and understand the changes created by the activation of new water recycling devices deployed aboard.Developed detailed cargo delivery strategies within the limitations of the current contracts with NASA's international partners (Europe, Japan, Canada and Russia) and domestic commercial space vehicle suppliers.Formulated the initial NASA proposal for extending the international resupply service contracts (CRS2) to support the ISS from 2015 to 2020 or beyond. The final tender was released to potential bidders in 2014 after my departure.

Built 9 temporary and semi-permanent bridges to preserve the operational tempo of U.S. military forces in Iraq, facilitate logistical supply and distribution lines, and begin rebuilding the nation's infrastructure. Became the unit's subject matter expert on the Compact 200 bridge system, the evolution of the venerable Bailey Bridge system.Led a team that provided heavy equipment support for a variety of civil works projects to include excavating and hauling raw materials to build a temporary runway and multiple helipads, building earthen force protection emplacements, and extending and improving bridge abutments. Planned and executed 2 airfield safety surveys with a team of engineers, surveyors and drafters and delivered the technical products on time and under budget.Mentored, advised and evaluated several multidisciplinary Army and Air Force teams during intense, culturally-immersed training in preparation for combat tours training the Iraqi military and national police force.Oversaw the deactivation of the 38th Engineer Company (Medium Girder Bridge) and merger of assets into the 502nd Multi-role Bridge Company.
