Senior Technical Buyer
• Generate work bench planning reports. Analyze reports by comparing parts needed per Sales Orders tohistorical usage data, and create Purchase Orders. • Identify and qualify reliable and competitively priced suppliers for materials or services required for manufacturing and assembly of Company products• Solicit bids based on Purchase Orders and MRP reports• Review bid proposals and negotiate contracts with discretion given budgetary limitations• Place orders with suppliers based on manufacturing schedules, availability of parts and/or services, andpricing considerations• Contact vendors to find out order status and resolve any discrepancies with quantity and quality• Interface with departments and resolves issues with needed purchase items• Maintain close relationships with key suppliers to ensure potential problems of supply, obsolescence,payment and pricing are properly identified and addressed• Identify and qualify a pool of variable alternate suppliers for key components to ensure competitivevendor service, terms, prices to meet potential surges in demand• Informed and up to date on all planned product changes and promptly identify new sources of supply for changing components or technology• Identify suppliers for all prototypes and new design items
