Working in the Microsoft 365 team, my role focusses on leading change, building competence, and fostering confidence across ACC's 4000-ish staff as we seek to move ACC's full suite of Microsoft tools into the cloud. I am also working to coordinate the replacement and migration of ACC's intranet onto a SharePoint Modern platform.

My role focussed on the following: - looking after the domestic communications needs of three international regions; Europe, IMEA (India, Middle East and Africa), and North America.- Preparing New Zealand Exporters for a potential no-deal Brexit- Crafting communications for International Trade Missions (Including David Parker’s April 2019 trade mission to China - generating 90,000 organic impressions)- Led NZTE’s social media presence at Fieldays 2019 (generating 55,000 organic impressions)- Speech writing- Video editing of the CEO’s fortnightly vlog.

My role focussed on the following:- Internal communication: with offices in 40 locations around the world, this is both exciting and challenging- Managing the ongoing maintenance and development of NZTE's intranet- Writing and editing blog articles that help to update staff on changes and embed the culture- Video editing: regularly editing videos and vlogs for internal audiences- Relationship management: staying on top of upcoming changes requires me to build strong relationships with the business groups I support.

I was also able to enlist the help of Te Radar who agreed to make video for the National Volunteer Week Campaign

Having returned from a 1-year sabbatical, I returned to resume my role with BGI. My role focusses on:• Running a youth group: Managing a group of volunteer leaders, pastoral care for young people in crisis, coming up with fun original programing that both attracts and teaches young people, connecting young people with the wider community, coordinating camps, coordinating youth leader training, writing RAMS forms & fundraising• Communications: Improving the brand recognition and reputation of BGI to highlight the services we provide to those who need them.• Coordinating the update of BGI's Health and Safety Policies to align with new legislation.• Public Speaking and facilitation: running workshops for fellow youth workers on public speaking, running workshops for schools on Social Media, Public speaking to groups and camps of 10-600, teambuilding and leadership programs for students in school settings]• Event Management: Organizing events for up to 200 people, fundraising, budgeting, delegation, communication, safety, research, running Holiday programs for up to 40 kids.• Lead Agent for Strengthening Families. Supporting complex family situations to find adequate support from various Government and NGO agencies.

Over a year, Jenny & I travelled to 30 countries, writing about our adventures. With over 10,000 unique readers from over 65 countries and content from our site featured on over 10 international news websites, our travel blog provides a level of insight & personality to aspiring travellers worldwide!

During our year-long trip through Europe, I wrote many paid articles for Theme Park Insider. I covered articles on Universal Studios Singapore, Disneyland Resort, Walt Disney Studios, The Efteling & Parc Asterix which were all featured on the main site.

This was a one-year Youth Work internship for 20-25 hours per week that I completed during my final year of undergraduate university studies. This was the transition point from my three years of volunteer part-time youth work into full-time professional youth work. This helped me to strengthen my abilities in event management, fundraising, promotion & pastoral care for young people

I held this role for a year and a half alongside my university studies; this was part-time throughout the trimesters and full-time over the summer. In this role, I was an Emergency Beacon Database Administrator, entering, checking and following up with emergency details attached to different beacons. During this time, I also was the co-creator of the New Zealand Search And Rescue Resource Database, which marks the nearest rescue resource (helicopter, plane, search team) to an incident and helps to refine the search through capabilities; a database that is still used by Rescue Coordination Centre New Zealand, New Zealand Police, The New Zealand Air Force, Army, Navy and Land SAR.
