As a freelance coach and first aid trainer, I was privileged to be able to work with some of the best client businesses across selected activities, delivering to premium customers. I focussed on- first aid training and assessment- navigation training and assessment- walking leadership assessment- archery coaching.

I was responsible for steering a large portfolio (£30M) covering IS partnered business transformation projects and developed the UK project management framework governance (PPMF) based on PRINCE2, APM BoK and ITILv3 which was then rolled out globally and published by AXELOS as a case study in 2014. The UK achieved a project success rate average over six years of 68% and saw average project slippage trend from 300% to near zero.“There is no such thing as an IT project” and “Why fit the project to the framework when the framework can be tailored to the project” were key messages I used when co-delivering our two day APM-IC aligned foundation training in project management. I also had the pleasure of being the lead lecturer at the ENGIE university IS Project Management Academy and deployed and managed the highly successful IS training & transition team, developing skills of users across technologies using a variety of techniques from productivity coaching, lunch & learns to courses and tip sheets. I was also responsible for developing and facilitating an Agile environment and SharePoint team leading to an impressive release success rate with only one failure in over 100 releases, providing direct leadership to an extremely successful £1.5M SharePoint integrated collaboration environment build & IM migration project.Finally, I lead the £1M flagship London office IS build.

A member of a close-knit, strong team I was primarily responsible for leading kayaking sessions but also for safety boat cover for dinghy sailing sessions and assisting with sailing, abseiling, caving and orienteering. Working with both one-off groups running introductory sessions and developmental courses across a school year for school children from ages 10 to 18. Also assisted on leading week-long, sea kayaking expedition trips to the Anglesey coast. We worked with local authority schools from Dorset and groups from further afield including inner city, disadvantaged children and groups with special coaching needs such as autism. I was also heavily involved with assisting the Quartermaster with equipment maintenance and the Centre Manager and Chief Instructor in session planning and delivery. We also assisted the BBC in filming a documentary on psychology using climbing at Dancing Ledge with Professor Robert Winston.
