Over 30 years of sports business experience creating award-winning programs that build brands, generate revenue, and extend essential messages. I’ve helped create, operate, and measure partnership programs for brands including 24 Hour Fitness, Cisco Systems, Oracle, Kaiser Permanente, Blue Sheild, AAA, Amtrak, and Clorox. I’ve worked with sports teams and leagues on a variety of business related issues, from the relocation of the NBA’s Grizzlies to financial modeling for the El Paso Chihuahuas. I have worked extensively with college sports organizations including Learfield, the West Coast Conference, Cal, Stanford, North Carolina State, UC Davis, CSU Northridge, and many others. I contribute and write on sports business related topics, with work appearing in a wide variety of media, including American Public Media’s Marketplace, the Sports Business Journal, the Huffington Post, and several Business Times. I have been a guest lecturer at several sports management programs, including Stanford University, the Haas School of Business at Cal, the Univ of San Francisco, and Univ of Northern Denmark. I also host of the award-winning podcast “Sports Business Conversations”, and am a member of the University of San Francisco Sports Management Program’s Board of Advisors.
