Operations Manager
Project Cost and Performance analysis· Develop tools and methods for tracking project cost, overhead costs and revenue. · Ensure that project plans are adhered to, in conjunction with Project Management and technical staff.· Conduct root cause analysis of cost, scope or schedule variance.· Assist in writing or revising estimation tools, in order to more accurate project estimates.HR Duties· Lead recruiting and retention efforts for Ursa staff.· Develop job descriptions and ROI for all new hires.· Develop staff growth plans.· Monitor staff training and ensure that it is effective and meets cost and schedule goals.· Manage any disciplinary situations and work with HR consultants to exit staff as appropriate.Staff scheduling and optimization· In consultation with other Ursa leaders, manage staff schedules against project work, and ensure optimal utilization, billing, and profitability.· Develop monthly integrated work calendar, so that staff can effectively plan customer deliveries and happiness.· Utilize staff’s scheduled non-billable time effectively on internal efficiency projects or development.Training coordination· Develop staff training plans, including budgets, scope and schedule.· Ensure staff is following plans, and Ursa is seeing results from our investments.Marketing activities· Assist in marketing, as needed.Contract tracking and compliance· Develop contract tracking system, to ensure customer and staff are in full and mutual compliance of deliveries, payments, etc. General Operations· Develop project plans (budgets, schedules, scope) for any internal projects or training.· Manage space planning, staff equipment and physical environments.· Assist Accounting Manager with administrative tasks and governmental compliance requirements.
