Joined HDRS as a founding member of this startup company. Founded in February as a 3rd party logistics company, its vision was to be the premier provider of outsourced retail solutions, integrating field service, warehousing, and state of the art IT infrastructure.

Led and created new and innovative systems to drive new products and services within the Canadian market research field. Core business competencies included an ability to communicate the business value to senior and junior management levels, planning and execution of prototype and production systems, transfer of new capabilities to the core business. Key achievements include:1998 – Developed and launched a new, client server classification system1999 – Developed and piloted the launch of store level data using proprietary technology (WSP)2000 – Developed and launched new desktop and databank capabilities for the DSS organization.2001 – As manager of DSS New Product Development, developed and launched ACNielsen Canada’s first internet delivery platform.2003 – Helped lead the introduction of the Answers platform for the Canadian business.2005 – Launched a new Business Intelligence strategy for Canadian clients.2007 – Formally launched a National Retailer collaboration platform as the first Nielsen store level platform worldwide.

Lead specialist in the Development Support Centre charged with assisting teams in replacing 85% of the IS portfolio (including software, hardware, network, and other standards). Key achievements included:• Implemented IS Repository systems, change management and methodology standards• Prepared business cases, implemented and supported standard development tools• Re-negotiated CG development technology contracts • Key resource on a number of projects including Operations Work Management, Operations Records Management, Materials Management, and PC Configuration Management.

Led the development team in the analysis, design, and implementation of the corporate cheque reconciliation system. Duties included the preparation of proposals, cost benefit studies, project plans, and management presentations. System was designed to maintain records for 30 years, reduce operational running costs by 50%, and implemented on-line user request system.

Designed and implemented a consolidated billing system. Lead the development team throughout the construction phase, including project planning, cost controls and mentoring.

Development and maintenance of an assembler and COBOL based policy management system. Supervision of junior programmers and implementation of Bill C-139 implementation.

Staff consultant available for external clients and internal projects. Structured design and development of postal code verification system, information collection system, employee billing / tracking, Client Risk Analysis, and property management system.
