• Reported directly to the CEO. Oversaw the Technical Support Group, the Training Group, the Implementation Group, and the Documentation Group. Had hire/fire authority. Managed an overall staff of up to seven people. Traveled 30-40% of the time.• Project Manager for all implementations. Performed on-site implementation assessments.• Participated as the lead technical person at sales calls with prospects. These were high-level (CEO, CFO, CIO, MD) meetings; my critical role was to assure the prospect about our technical capability and to set the proper implementation and utilization expectation levels.• Established and maintained important personal relationships with all existing customers, who were all early adopters of the system.• Provided technical support for sales, marketing, seminars, and national shows.• Maintained liaisons and personal relationships with strategic partners and major vendors. Negotiated agreements.• Created cost quotation models for implementations.• Gained further hands-on depth in SQL Server 6.5 and 7.0, including extensive Transact-SQL, stored procedures, triggers, backup/restore and scheduling.• Created detailed implementation documentation for technicians, including SQL Server 7.0, Crystal Reports 7.0, Active Server Pages, VB Script, Borland BDE, Access 97, Multum and Windows NT Server 4.0.
