About Dave Bjork

I am the founder of Research Evangelist, LLC and the Research Evangelist Podcast. On my podcast I interview amazing people in life sciences making a difference (mostly in lung cancer) - researchers, clinicians and pharma advocacy leaders. I love to humanize and personalize these awesome people and share their stories. My superpower is identifying and building authentic, trusting relationships and I love working with people who share my core values and care about the same things I care about. As a champion for innovation in the biotech, pharma and research communities, I advocate for patients and stress the important role patients play in developing new treatments. I am also a health equity ally and I strive to build trust through my intentions and sincerity. As an advisor to Medidata Solutions, I serve on the Patient Insights Board team, providing the patient voice and perspective to clinical trials. I am also a research advocate member of the 2023 IASLC STARS Scholar Program, and member of a steering committee for an upcoming clinical trialMy Why… I believe good things happen when you bring together and connect really good people who care.

My role is to help bring the patient voice and perspective to clinical trials. The patient journey extends before and after a clinical trial. It’s important to understand how patients want to interact with a clinical trial while also considering that accessibility, site convenience, support, and engagement can lead to improved patient satisfaction. Virtualizing clinical trials can help sponsors incorporate patient preferences into the trial design and implementation, allowing for a more satisfied, empathetic patient experience and a seamless process for the patient, sponsor, and entire trial team.
