Joined Resource America, Inc. as an executive officer of the then public company (formerly NASDAQ: REXI) to monetize a legacy portfolio of CRE investments and founded Resource Real Estate to relaunch the company's CRE investment activities through a new diversified real estate principal platform.Commercial Debt:Established, staffed and ran national balance sheet lending and portfolio management platform that originated over $5 Billion of short-term floating rate commercial mortgages secured by all major property types;Formed Resource Capital Corp. (NYSE: RSO, now ACRES, ACR), a commercial mortgage REIT, sponsored and externally managed by Resource America;Served as RSO’s Head of Real Estate and presented in IPO, follow-on and non-deal road shows, and also represented company in investor and analyst meetings, at conferences and on quarterly earnings calls;As head of origination and credit, sourced and negotiated over $1.5 Billion of term credit facilities from six commercial banks, and managed capital markets, rating agency and buy-side relationships; and Led execution, marketing and management of five securitized term financing vehicles totaling over $2 Billion, including the first post-crisis CRE CLO in 2013, as well as two legacy managed CRE CDOs totaling $845 Million.Equity Funds and Capital Raising:Launched de novo national multifamily equity fund platform in a series of institutional and retail limited partnerships and non-traded REITs;Raised in excess of $1.5 Billion of equity and acquired over 20,000 units with a total capitalization of more than $4 Billion; andDesigned and implemented initial acquisition and financing strategies and portfolio/asset management and financial reporting procedures.

Responsible for the identification and execution of new investments as well as the broad expansion of the firm's activities in North Asia. Led the formation of a series of joint ventures between Colony Capital and KAMCO, the South Korean government's restructuring agency. Focused on investments in portfolios of NPLs and distressed real estate, as well as operating company and development transactions. Participated in the firm's equity raising and investor relations activities for its global funds and led fund formation and co-investment efforts for the firm's Asia-Pacific funds and investments, including the firm's first co-investment offering.
