In the course of any one day, I can go through as many as 20 or 30 different voices, mostly for my own amusement and (hopefully) the amusement of those around me. Luckily for me, doing so seems to frequently land me all sort of different voice over projects. I've done VO for radio and TV commercials (including a series of spots for Norman Lear), industrial projects (past and current clients include Summit Audio, Empirical Labs, Kurzweil Music Systems, Presonus and Cloud Microphones) and - my absolute favorite - video games. I specialize in accents and character voices - the more bizarre and unusual, the better.

During the time I worked with Dave, I was responsible for managing his North American sales network, developing and implementing sales and marketing strategies (e.g. rebranding the company from Dave Smith Instruments to DSI), and materials (training docs, ads, etc), doing demos around the country and at trade shows, coordinating reviews as well as actively participating in product development, beta testing and sound design. Sadly, ADAM and DSI grew too big for me to be able to work for both...

Synthesizer Group Marketing ManagerAlesis Studio Electronics 1995 - 2000What started as a simple clinician gig quickly turned into one of my favorite jobs ever - synthesizer marketing manager for maverick manufacturer Alesis. In addition to traveling all over the world training, demonstrating and performing on Alesis synthesizers, I managed all marketing aspects of the group for five years, including advertising, POS displays, promotions, product rollouts and trade show presence. I also worked very closely with engineering on product planning and development - especially the sound development group, which I ended up managing for a brief period. During my tenure at Alesis, synthesizer sales increased by over 1000% during the first 18 months, and we had the best selling synthesizer in the US for three years straight (QS8). I was also Alesis' representative to IAEKM (International Association of Electronic Keyboard Manufacturers).
