I have worked for the past 40 years as a consultant in acoustics and vibration specializing in CEQA and NEPA environmental documentation for a wide variety of development and infrastructure projects. For the past 25 years I have worked with the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) on a numbers of topics related to highway traffic noise, construction vibration, the effects of noise on birds and bats, and hydroacoustic impacts on fish. I've been the principal author of a number of Caltrans guidance manuals on acoustics, vibration, and hydroacoustics. I also produce and edit training videos using Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Audition, Apple Logic, and Camtasia. I am also a professional musician, producer, and music manager. I am currently the keyboard player and manager for Steelin' Dan, an award-winning tribute to the music of Steely Dan. I am also a solo artist recording and performing my solo piano and smooth jazz compositions. My latest single spent 8 weeks on the Billboard Smooth Jazz Top 100.
