Started as a Scanner Operator, & moved across to be part of the Digital Asset Management (DAM) team. In 2004 we migrated DAM to Mediabank by WAVE, this became a fully online system with assets retrievable at anytime to authenticated users. Alongside DAM we also ran online collaboration tools, RealtimeProof was followed by Teamworks / Insite Creative Workflow. I was responsible for providing training & support to end users until the system was retired in approx 2011.Storage systems have varied from NT Server SCSI based RAID file servers, to ESXi VM's on fibre channel enclosures. With increase in onsite storage we needed to reliably back up the data. At first AIT1/3 single slot drives upgraded to 8 slot AIT4 autoloader in 2004. In 2007 an 80+ slot dual drive LTO3 library was installed with LTO6 drives added in 2014. Using Backup Exec, from v9.1–2015. Early 2017 saw a switch to VEEAM to backup the VMs & MBG to disk storage plus LTO6 mirror. Currently using Storagecraft SPX on disk & cloud storage for DR.I've also been involved in a number of projects that involved ingestion of raw data into Quark XPress or Adobe Indesign templates, including the French B&B Guide by Thomas Cook & the Hudson’s Heritage Houses & Gardens guide. In 2009 I got into reflowable & fixed layout ePub (cross platform) & mobi/KF8 (Amazon proprietary) eBooks.In 2016 I managed the installation & migration of our DAM system to Mediabank Gold, this includes the support & training of all end users. I also oversee a workflow automation system utilising Enfocus Switch.In early 2021 I migrated our domain controller from SBS2k11 to Server 2019, at the same time migrating our primary production storage server from Server 2008R2 to Server 2019, & our customer facing TitanFTP from Server 2008R2 to Server 2016.
